The Parent information package (pdf 502kb) provides information about policy and provision for the education of gifted and talented students in NSW public schools. It gives parents an understanding of the definition, needs and characteristics of gifted students.

The NSW Board of Studies provides a Guidelines for Accelerated Progression booklet (revised 2000), applicable to all students in NSW schools.

The NSW Association for Gifted and Talented Children is an organisation to assist parents in meeting the needs of gifted and talented children.

Scales for rating behavioural characteristics of academically and intellectually gifted Aboriginal students. These scales may be useful in some contexts.
