National Solar Schools Program
Many schools plan to make their school more energy and water efficient and the National Solar Schools Program provides funding to do it. The program is providing solar panels, water tanks and other energy efficiency installations (efficient lighting upgrades, ceiling insulation, window shading etc).
The project is an opportunity for an authentic environmental problem solving task for students. Investigating your school and identifying opportunities for water and energy savings is a key aspect of this program. In NSW the DET is managing the project on behalf of the Australian government.
