7-10 IDEAS: FACT AND FICTION

1.Aesop’s alter ego.

Have you ever pretended that you were a fictional character, somebody from the past or present or someone famous? Artists often assume personas or alter egos who can perform aspects of their work they would not be able to effect. The notion of a different persona is appealing: perhaps your persona can be in two places at once, or inhabits the body of the opposite sex, is braver and stronger able to perform miraculous feats. Alter-ego’s can realise our deepest desires, are ideal and make up for our human limitations.
