Welcome to Environmental and Sustainability Education
Make 2013 a year for environmental and sustainable education!
When environmental and sustainability education is incorporated into the school curriculum, students:
- learn about the environment
- develop skills to investigate and solve issues in the environment
- acquire attitudes of care and concern for the environment
- adopt behaviours and practices which protect the environment, and
- understand the principles of ecologically sustainable development
My Treasure - Integrated unit.
Engage primary students in an exploration or place through creating artworks and writing artists statements. Building a connection and meaning to place in young people is the foundation for sustainability.
This presentation and notes will support a school presentation on sustainability education to provide a deeper understanding of sustainability, ways to support student engagement and describe the Sustainability action process. (.ppt Sustainability Education 10.3MB)
