Budgeting Given a set budget to work within, students design or recreate the floor plan for a house including all measurements, using Word or Google SketchUp. Using the measurements on the plan, students calculate the area of the house and make appropriate costings. Students then create a spreadsheet in Excel demonstrating they can afford the house they have designed or adjusting the design until it meets the budget constraints. Software used
