Count Me In Too

Vertical Ten Frame

Purpose

Placing two Five frames together enables students to work with numbers up to ten. The Ten frame may be used to show number combinations up to ten. By placing the ten frame vertically and filling the squares from the bottom, doubles and "near doubles" are emphasised. For example, "seven" can be seen as double three and one more or double four and one less.
