HSC Country Markers Transfer of Duty Program HSC Country Markers Transfer of Duty Program
The Department and the Office of the Board of Studies conduct the HSC Country Markers Transfer of Duty Program as one of a number of strategies to support country HSC teachers from government schools. This program assists country teachers, who have not marked the HS, to be placed in metropolitan schools or in the Curriculum Directorate office while marking HSC papers at night.
Completed application forms need to reach the Curriculum Directorate by Thursday 1 April 2010.

The Australian curriculum
Curriculum K-12 Directorate is holding a series of consultation activities on the Australian Curriculum.The purposes of these activities are to:

  • brief and update primary teachers and secondary teachers of English, mathematics, science and history about the Australian curriculum
  • provide a forum for discussion of issues related to the Australian curriculum
  • collect feedback that will help to inform advice provided to the Minister
  • ascertain students’ and teachers’ needs regarding implementation.

NSW Premier's Student Volunteering Awards new for 2010.
This Premier's program encourages students in years 9 & 10 to undertake a  minimum of 20 hours volunteering. Successful students are recognised through a structured awards system, when achieving 20, 40, 60 and 80 hours of volunteering.
